Treatment might always be needed at one point or another but a little prevention can go a long way.  Here are ten quick ways to help prevent psoriasis flare-ups.

  1. Use moisturizing lotions and creams
  2. Make maintainance part of your daily routine
  3. Try to reduce exposure to dry, cold weather
  4. Use a humidifier
  5. Avoid drying medications that can cause flare-ups
  6. Avoid scrapes, cuts, bumps, and infections
  7. Get out and joy the sun, but not too much
  8. Limit stress is your life
  9. Reduce your alcohol consumption
  10. Exercise, eat right, and maintain a healthy weight
